We are a family-owned group of 19 individual garden centres, each with their own distinct character. The company started in 1897 and since that time our name has stood for excellence in gardening, offering what we believe to be the best products and friendly advice to help our customers.  The rich history of the company means that family values and expertise are still the heart of the business today.

Our horticultural heritage includes being one of the first ever exhibitors at Chelsea and we’re proud to have won many Gold Medals there.   

We passionately believe that gardening can play a key role in the health and happiness of us all, whilst at the same time doing our bit for the planet.

When everything else in life seems to flash by at 100 miles per hour, gardening gives us all the chance to breathe, forget the frantic pace of life and indulge in a little peace and quiet.

And in a world that’s getting ever more sterile, we are proud to celebrate getting our hands dirty, the embracing of the seasons and connecting once again with a true friend - Mother Nature.
