Dukeries Garden Centre

Dukeries Garden Centre is situated in the extensive grounds of Welbeck Abbey, close to the town of Worksop. The centre oozes an historic charm and provides a unique shopping experience amongst the original Victorian glasshouses - whilst a modern extension ensures that there is plenty of room for our extensive lifestyle ranges, gardening accessories, wild bird care, gifts and Pet Centre.

The outdoor plant area features an historic garden wall which forms the perfect backdrop for the wide selection of top quality plants available all year round. The expert advice of our team is at hand, to help you choose the perfect plants for your garden.

Our popular Welbeck restaurant is open every day and offers a delicious selection of home cooked meals and cakes.

Our restaurants are always extremely popular and have become a must visit part of the trip to many of our Garden Centres.

Whatever time of day you visit us there will be a delicious offer tempting you along to the restaurant. We look forward to serving you soon!

They offer tempting well-prepared food that’s sensibly priced and served in very agreeable surroundings. We pride ourselves on our home baked food and our pies. The quality of our mouth-watering cakes and scones are renowned.

As you’d expect, we are increasingly focused on local and ethically sourced produce. We are particularly proud to have recently won a Silver ‘Eggsellence Award’ from the Battery Hen Welfare Trust for using only British free range eggs in all our home baked food. Our restaurants are really child friendly with children’s meals, play packs and microwave ovens for heating food and milk.

And with free car parking, our restaurants have become a really convenient meeting point for many of our customers, who have found it a pleasant way to start or finish a trip to the busy town centres.

So if you haven’t been before, why not come in and see what you’ve been missing.  If you are a member of the Sage Privilege Club, don't forget you get two complimentary tea or coffees every month!

Pet Centre

Our Pet Centres

We pride ourselves in the quality and welfare of our animals and the advice our fully trained staff give to our customers. We've outlined some of the most important things below that need to be considered when thinking about buying a pet.

If you're keen to see any of our animals or want to know a little more, then come along to one of our Pet Centres and speak to us in person. We'd be delighted to see you.

Our commitment

As part of our commitment to responsible pet ownership, we offer a 7 day livestock guarantee. In the unlikely event of a problem, we recommend that you contact the pet centre immediately (please note that we will not accept liability for vets' bills without prior approval).

As well as this, we offer a 4 week 'satisfaction' period after the sale of every animal. If for any reason during this period, the animal is not suitable or does not settle in their new home, we will take the animal back in order that it can be re-homed into a more suitable environment.

What to consider when buying a new pet

At Notcutts we take our responsibility for selling pets very seriously, so before you buy any animal from us, staff will make sure customers carefully consider the following important points:

  • The start up costs of buying - all you will need for your new pet (e.g. cage, food, veterinary care)
  • The monthly cost of keeping your new pet
  • Who will look after your pet when you go on holiday or take a short break
  • Further additional costs of owning a pet (e.g. insurance, boarding fees, ongoing vets fees)
  • The life expectancy of your new pet
  • Your commitment to daily handling, exercise and care requirements
  • Consideration as to whether your lifestyle suits your potential new pet
  • The safety and suitability of the environment in which you will house your pet
Dukeries has a selection of Concessions to enhance your shopping experience.

Please note that the Sage Privilege Club discount does not apply at any of the Concessions.
