Introducing the Winner of the Name the Rose Competition
'Anniversary Splendour’ has been chosen as the winning name for a new rose variety exclusive to Notcutts, as part of a national competition in celebration of our 120th anniversary this year. Christine Trickett from Pontefract in Yorkshire has been crowned joint-winner of the competition, alongside Julie Yeomans from Norfolk who suggested the same name. Both winners were amongst 4,000 people across the country inspired to enter the competition.
‘Anniversary Splendour’ is a natural fit for our celebratory rose as the majority of entries were dedicated to loved ones and this is the perfect name to celebrate all special anniversaries, as well as our own this year.
With its rich pink blooms and superb scent, Anniversary Splendour has been especially bred for its hardiness against disease and will make a magnificent addition to any border or pot to celebrate a loved one or cherished memory.

Notcutts Commemorative Deben Sunrise Rose
As part of our anniversary celebrations we have launched a fabulous new rose at the Chelsea Flower Show. The beautiful rose is inspired by Charles Notcutt who was passionate about horticulture and growing the family business to encourage more people to enjoy their gardens.
He loved the rich yellow hues of the early morning sun rising over the River Deben in Woodbridge Suffolk, home of Notcutts first garden centre. Our beautiful Deben Sunrise develops from cream to rich yellow during the season, reflecting the changing colours of the sunrise with a wonderful and distinctive fragrance.
