Don't be Tough on the Turf
It doesn't seem long ago that we were all being encouraged to rip up the turf and join the decking
and paving bandwagon, but whilst materials like these certainly have their place, the front garden probably
shouldn't be one of them and I for one am glad to see that the good old English front lawn is slowly
making a come-back. |
Spring Time is Slug Time
Have you noticed there are more slugs around this spring? Whilst a mild winter brings
many benefits, it does have its draw backs too, with the most obvious being an increased

Grow
Your Own Bedding
Growing your own bedding plants is one of the most enjoyable exercises in the gardening year. "Doing
it yourself" allows the gardener to choose from a wide selection of seeds and young plants and
create a riot of colour in the garden, tailored exactly to one's own tastes and ambitions. Above
all, the satisfaction gained when admiring your garden in full bloom mid-Summer really takes some beating. |
