September
Tasks
For
many of us, September sees a resurgence of activity in the garden
following the lazier days of summer. Whilst some of us will be
busy harvesting the fruits of our earlier labours it’s also
time to prepare the garden for seasons ahead.

Helping
the wildlife in Autumn
Whilst
the surrounding countryside will still be relatively rich in natural
food sources, at this stage of the autumn it’s nevertheless
still vital to remember how the gardener can give visiting wildlife
a helping hand at this time of year. It’s a good time to
think ahead to the coming winter and ensure there’s going
to be plenty of food and shelter available.
Attracting
wild birds into the garden
Continuing our focus on attracting wild birds into the garden,
let’s take a look at how plants can make your garden a more
attractive home for our feathered friends. Even just a single,
carefully chosen specimen could make the world of difference.
