"I joined Notcutts Garden Centres in September 1986 and like much of my team, I'm passionate about plants and gardening. Even after working in horticulture for such a long time, we learn something new everyday, it's simply great!"

  • The Beech Tree Restaurant is situated adjacent to a wonderful old ‘cut leaf’ beach tree (Fagus sylvatica ‘Laciniata’) hence, the restaurant’s name. Our restaurant has 80 seats internally and a further 40 on a bright and airy covered wooden veranda.

    The Beech Tree Restaurant has an enviable reputation for its wonderful freshly baked scones, prepared and cooked on the premises, every morning. In addition, we offer a gluten free range and are renowned for Fish & Chip Fridays! We believe in the importance of fresh ’home cooked’ food, so if you have a little wait for your meal - it’s for all the right reasons!

    Where possible, we always aim to source local and ethically produced ingredients. We are particularly proud to have won a Silver ‘Eggsellence Award’ from the British Hen Welfare Trust for using only British free range eggs in all our home baked food.

    We love our history! Our centre sits on the site of the original Notcutts home and nursery. Today, as home to the Notcutts Garden Centre Woodbridge, our passionate team still believe in the Notcutts' family core values of professionalism and exemplary service.

    We love special events. We hold many throughout the year for all ages. Talks and demonstrations, coffee mornings to a Halloween Spooktacular. Christmas is a particularly special time for us here at Woodbridge. The charm, arising from the age and character of our centre, leads to an enchanting and magical Christmas experience.

    Last but definitely not least, we love our local area. We're situated close to the River Deben in the small but picturesque town of Woodbridge. Less than five minutes away, visit the famous Woodbridge Tide Mill. Within a 10 to 15 minute drive you will find the historically significant Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings, the latter acclaimed for its famous concert hall.
