The Humata tyermannii, also known as the Bear Paw Fern, is a unique houseplant with delicate, feathery fronds that emerge from creeping, fuzzy rhizomes resembling little paws. Its unusual look makes it a real conversation piece, perfect for adding texture and interest to shelves, terrariums, or mixed plant displays. Please note: pot cover not included
Plant care guide:
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but tolerates medium shade. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the fronds.
Water: Keep soil evenly moist, watering when the top 1–2cm begins to dry out. Do not let it fully dry.
Humidity: Loves higher humidity—ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, or grouped with other plants. Mist regularly in drier rooms.
Temperature: Thrives in 16–24°C. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Feeding: Apply a diluted balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring/summer).
Pet Friendly? Generally considered non-toxic, but best to keep out of reach of pets.
