The Aglaonema is a stunning house plant. The Diamond Bay features long, lance shaped leaves that have a beautiful green and grey centre that covers almost all of the leaf. The darker green edges provide a nice contrast that make for an eye-catching house plant. Aglaonemas are tropical rooted plants that come from the jungles of south-east Asia and they just love heat, moisture and partial shade. Chinese evergreens are visually appealing when placed on a table or desk. They are great air purifiers with fantastic foliage, symbolic for good fortune as per Chinese Feng Shui.

Plant care

How much sun: Either or a combination of full shade to partial shade.

Where to place: Place in spot that receives bright indirect light and light shade. Avoid direct sun as this may scorch the leaves. This plant tolerates less humidity than other houseplants, so be wary of keeping it in a bathroom or small kitchen.

Temperature & Humidity: Aglaonema thrives in warm temperatures between 60° F and 75° F below which may damage the leaves. Regular indoor humidity or higher keeps them happy.

Watering: Keep the soil watered and moist at all times, being careful not to overwater. Spray your plants leaves with water occasionally to give it enough water.

Plant Nutrition: Aglaonema’s need very little plant food but occasionally one can apply a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season.

Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans.
