Plant care

How much sun: Full sun to partial shade.

Where to place:  Codiaeum petra loves a bright spot that receives 4-6 hours of indirect light or under direct early morning or late evening sun. Place it in high humidity and warm spot that receives bright indirect lighting/sun. Avoid placing it next to air conditioning units.

Temperature & Humidity: Codiaeum petra loves a tropical vibe thus temperatures of between 60° F and 80° F would be ideal. Its native to humid conditions hence a high humidity environment would suffice. Use a humidifier or pebble tray to keep it moist and happy.

Watering: Water when the soil feels dry 2 inches deep below the topsoil. Avoid overwatering. Reduce your watering regime during winter when growth is slow. Use filtered water as hard tap water may build up lime in the potting media.

Plant Nutrition: Apply a half-strength organic fertilizer or houseplant fertilizer specific to Codiaeum species once or twice a month during the growing season.

Toxicity: All parts of the plant are toxic to both cats, dogs and humans.
