Agapanthus

Bring a touch of the sunny Mediterranean to your garden with agapanthus. These dramatic sun-loving perennials produce large, spherical flower heads throughout summer. The flowers are usually in shades of deep blue, but also come in pale blues, purples and white, and sway gently on tall stems above strappy foliage. Some, especially evergreen varieties, may not be fully winter hardy, so grow them in containers that can be protected over the colder months. They look fabulous when grown in containers anyway!
