Available from Notcutts comes the Prunus Kiku-shidare-zakura. This very popular, small weeping flowering cherry tree with arching branches bears densely clustered, double pink flowers in spring. Its lance-shaped leaves are pale green and slightly bronzed at first.

Often wrongly referred to as Prunus ‘Cheals Weeping’ which has a more steeply weeping habit.

Features and tips

Has a pendulous, weeping habit.
Produces deciduous foliage.
Grow in fertile soil and prune in summer if silver-leaf develops.
