Vanessa Bell David Austin rose is named after the artist, designer and founding member of the Bloomsbury Group, also the sister of the writer Virginia Woolf. The buds open up into medium-sized cups, which are held together in large clusters. These cups have a wonderful pale-yellow colour, turning white at the very edges and each featuring a rich yellow eye. The fragrance is reminiscent of green tea, with hints of honey and lemon. The rose bush blossoms into an upright, bushy shrub.
Please note that your plant may look different to the image on the website. It is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year and just ‘resting’ before it bursts into action in the coming season. Plants do look very different throughout the year. Particularly in winter, many shrubs will look rather bare and stick-like and perennial plants may not even be showing through the soil. We are passionate about roses. Which is why we are proud to stock roses from David Austin, renowned worldwide.
