Perennial clumps of onion-flavoured, tender, spear-like green leaves. Delicious in all egg, potato and cheese dishes, in salads, and sprinkled over soups and potatoes.
Sow thinly in a 0cm pot on a windowsill or trays in a greenhouse at approx. 10-15C (50-60F) using a quality compost. Cover seeds with 13mm (1") compost, Germination can take up to 21 days. Grow and begin to use shoots when plants are 15cm (6"). Sow every 3-4 weeks for succession. Alternatively sow or plant outside in containers/borders thinning to 15cm (6") between plants.
