Ideal for growing in window-boxes and pots, and very attractive in flower. Produces good crops of round, extra fine, absolutely stringless pods approximately 14cm (51/2") in length on plants approximately 40-45cm (16-18") in height. Easy to harvest because the pods are held well outside the foliage.
Sow in pots or trays on a windowsill or in a greenhouse using a good quality compost. Cover seeds with 38mm (1") compost. Germination 7-14 days. Planting in containers or outside in the garden, allowing 20cm (8") between plants and providing protection until frost risk has passed. Alternatively sow direct into prepared, warm moist soil at a depth of 50mm (2"). Thinning as necessary to 20cm (8") between plants. Allow 60cm (24") between rows. Grows best in a sunny position. Sowing to Cropping - 7 to 10 weeks.
