Planting:
Position Plant Skimmia ‘Finchy’ in a partially shaded to fully shaded position, protected from harsh winds and strong afternoon sun. North- or east-facing aspects are ideal, though it can tolerate gentle morning sunlight. Soil Prefers acidic, ericaceous soil that is well-drained yet moisture-retentive. If your garden soil is alkaline or chalky, plant in a container using ericaceous compost.
