Description

Available from Notcutts comes the Ilex x alt Golden King. Its richly variegated golden-yellow leaves are almost spineless with large quantities of reliable bright red berries.

This bushy, evergreen and fast growing tree or shrub is peppered with small white flowers and is fully hardy.

Note that, despite its name, the Golden King is actually from a female version of holly.

Key Features

For guaranteed berries, you will need to plant a male holly nearby.
The berries should not be ingested.
Needs to be planted in full sun
Likes most soils, but does well in moist, well-drained sites
