Electric Onion
A delicious and versatile onion, Electric Onion is a red, overwintering variety that is a great choice for both home gardeners and commercial growers.
‘Electric’ Onions are ready to harvest in early summer, making them a great way to jumpstart your harvest season. They produce symmetrical, semi-globe shaped bulbs that have an excellent flavour. Electric onions are very tasty in salads, but they can also be used in a variety of other dishes, such as soups, stews and stir-fries.
‘Electric’ Onions are easy to grow. They should be planted in the autumn, about 6 weeks before the first frost. Plant the sets 4 to 5 inches apart in rows 12 to 18 inches apart. Once planted, keep the soil moist but not soggy. ‘Electric’ onions are relatively pest and disease resistant, so you should have few problems growing this healthy variety.
If you’re looking for a delicious and versatile onion to add to your garden, then this pack of 50 ‘Electric’ Onion sets is a great choice. They are easy to grow and will produce a bountiful harvest.
