Dracaena - 19cm

Dracaena’s upright growth habit and long slender leaves make a magnificent appearance. It blends in well against a solid background making it an accent plant well suited for homes or offices. It is hardy making it an easy to care for houseplant. For beginners, Dracaena is that houseplant you just want to see for many years transform your space elegantly. It is such a handsome plant well known for its air purification abilities as it absorbs harmful toxins that are linked to several health problems. Their stunning look relaxes the mind, improves concentration and generally contributes to happiness. Placing it at that bright corner of your study area, office or resting area is worth it.

Plant care

How much sun: A combination of either partial shade or full sun.

Where to place: Place it in a spot near a window or position it in a nice spot where it can receive some light. Thrives best under bright indirect light.

Temperature & Humidity: Dracaena requires warmer temperatures between 70° F and 80° F. Normal household humidity can suffice but under dry conditions misting the plant will come in handy.

Watering: Water when the soil feels dry. Use non-fluorinated water as this may cause browning of leaf tips/ discolouration. Avoid overwatering as it may lead to cane rot.

Plant Nutrition: Dracaena are low-nutrient requiring plants however, to boost their growth you can lightly feed them with a balanced liquid fertilizer during spring. Do not feed nutrients during winter. You can also care for it organically by introducing compost to the potting media.

Toxicity: Toxic to cats and dogs. No reported toxicity to people.
